Very thin and drill very smooth. The only correct method of providing water to the bit is with a wet polisher because, a sponge, a spray bottle and water donut give the driller a false sensation of efficiency because these methods cause more harm than good unless you truly understand the art of drilling and the need for water at the necessary places. Dunking a wet bit in a bucket every few seconds actually causes more harm than good because it gets very hot, then "shocked" very cold, then very hot, very cold, etc. A wet bit is cooled with water, preferably by complete water coverage through the use of a wet polisher, that channels the water through the inside diameter of the bit, down and around the crown surface, then out the front side of the bit, completely saturating the bit and washing the cuttings away with the current as it penetrates the stone. Spin at 2,000 RPM for larger and 4,000 RPM for smaller diameters. All bits have a 5/8-11" threaded arbor and allow for 2" drill depth.
